Writing Frustrations OneNote 2003

Hi everyone,

I love the 'potential' of onenote but I'm having a very basic issue
that I'm hoping you can help me resolve.

When I'm taking notes (simply writing on the pad, pen to paper style)
the text I'm writing suddenly becomes highlighted in gray. I can't
write any longer unless I 'tap' outside the gray highlight. This
happens so often it prevents me from taking the notes I need to take!

I'm getting really irritated by this as all I want to do is write on
the pad as if I was taking notes on a paper pad - that's it, nothing
fancy.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting I need to change?

I have the same issue, BUT it comes when you accidently push the button on
the pen when writing. So I remember to twist the pen, so that this doesn't
happen!

Thanks! I figured it out after an hour of playing with it and realized
I kept hitting the button on the pen Duh! I'm a dolt!
