I made a spreadsheet. I need to write a procedure to teach othe
coworkers. I need to teach them how to use/update the data.

Is there a standard procedure format available to use as a guidelin
for me

Hi,

What exactly do you mean "write a procedure" to teach
them? Do you want some step-by-step text on the main
sheet? or are you looking for a form that guides
them through your data entry?

Expand a bit, please.

Depending on how complicated your procedure is and the competence of your audience..

Very Complicated and low competency i have used the Paintshop Pro, using screen capture and actually include the screens, then using the drawing tools to make arrows or circle the info. by cutting and pasting your audience can follow along. i actually teach a novice to advance excel class by using this technique and using actual tabs in a workbook, then the students can play with some of the tabs and follow along on. plus they get to take it home or office and print out

all you have to do is vary the info for the audience. this works well for standard procedures, but ones that change all the time is more time-consuming

happy to offer specifics if you want to e-mai

Hi Jeff and zÉÞ

It's not complicated spreadsheet. It has only two sheets and thre
charts.

I just want to write a procedure in MS word or in any other apporpriat
format. It'll be a just plain english and some clip pastes stuff lik
that.

This is just to tell my coworker how to update the data on montly base
(in cases I am on vacation).

I want to write in a formal manner because it will be presented in th
meeting.

This is the first time I am writing a procedure that's why I though
perhaps you guys can share your knowledge.

thanks
