/wrkgrp switch

I have set up a workgroup file called Reports.mdw

When I join my database to this file using Access Security the permissions
assigned to users and groups work OK. However I wish to access this file via
a short cut using the /wrkgrp switch.

I have set up the target line as follows:

"T:\General IT\Reports\AcademyReportsV2.mdb" /wrkgrp "T:\General
IT\Reports\Reports.mdw

However when I double click the icon my database launches and ignores the
mdw file i.e. the user is not prompted to log on.

Have I missed something out?

The target needs to have the full path to msaccess.exe at the beginning or
the switch is ignored.

I tried that and it works OK now.

Now that you have the target working, you should be aware that your original
one was using system.mdw. Since your database even opened using that
workgroup, you didn't secure it properly.
