Wrong date on emails I reply to. I get Friday, July 10, 2893 6:44

I am using Outlook 2000.
On most emails I reply to or forward I always get the wrong date noted as
Sent: Friday, July 10, 2893 6:44 PM.

Please advise if you know how to solve this issue.
