Wrong font when document opens

I have document that was partly in English and partly in Hebrew. I have
opened and closed it in the past with no problems. Now when I open it the
Hebrew portion is in Greek (I think), but the Format/Fonts dialog box
indicates that the font remains Hebrew. Can I fix this without retyping the
Hebrew?

Try selecting a Hebrew section, then go to Tools, Language, Set Language and
ensure that it is definitely set for Hebrew. Then ditto with Format, Font
making sure it is definitely set for a Hebrew compatible font.

For this to work properly, the English sections should use a style set that
is set for the English Language and the Hebrew sections should use a style
set set to the Hebrew Language. Make sure that none of the Styles are set to
automatically Update. Using styles sets correctly should stop the problem
recurring.

Thanks. Your post led me to pay more attention to the Font dialog box,
because I knew that the Hebrew font was selected. I noticed that there was a
tiny, tiny message at the bottom of the box indicating that the selected font
was not installed. I realized that in the time since my hard drive failed I
had not reinstalled my Hebrew word processor with the selected font.
Installing it and the accompanying Hebrew fonts solved the problem.
