I have windows xp and it had works suite 2002 preinstalled. I have just installed office 2000 small business and now when I open any of my saved documents they open in word 2000 instead of word 2002. I tried to use detect and repair and reinstalling word 2002 but either way the windows installer window comes up and after a minute or so a window comes up stating "This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it of contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package.
I don't know what happened but I prefer to use word 2002. I used windows explorer to find word 2002 and put a shortcut on the desktop for now but when I open a document in works it should open with 2002 not 2000.
Any help would be very greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
