wss 3.0 already installed before Project Server 2007

In preparation for Project Server 2003, I have installed WSS 3.0 in advance.
Now, I have been made aware that Project Server 2003 will not run with WSS
3.0 but needs WSS 2.0. Feeling this is a step back and now having the
experts on this forum inform us that Project Server 2007 will work with
Office 2003 products, we are moving forward with upgrading to Project Server
2007.

But, now after some reading it has come to my attention that Project Server
2007 is bundled with WSS 3.0. How will this affect my current enviroment
with WSS 3.0 already installed on the server? Do I need to remove WSS 3.0?
Will installing PS 2007 recognize that WSS 3.0 is on the server?

You'd probably be well advised to engage a consultant to assist you on this.
Even if you had a consultant available for phone support during your planning
process, I think you'll do much better than if you use this forum for that
purpose.

That being said, Project Server is not bundled with WSS 3.0. Project Server
is a separate product.

When you install the bits for Project Server, it will "see" WSS 3.0, and
everything should work fine.
