WSS libraries show nothing after SP1

Chris Williams

We just applied SP1 to Project Server 2003. We also
updated Project Pro 2003 to SP1 on the server (we use MTS
for a few remote PMs). Since then, document libraries for
every project (as well as issues and risks) no longer
display anything but a blank page. Everything seems
normal until you navigate to where you expect to see a
list of issues and documents.

Moreover, if you connect directly to the WSS site,
bypassing Project Server, you *can* see documents and
issues.

Anyone else seen this or have any ideas on how to fix?

Cheers,

Chris Williams

Chris:

This sounds like a problem with the COM+ account that Project Server uses to
pull data from SharePoint. Typically this can be resolved by running the
COM+ tool to reset the identity. If this is the problem, you'll see error
messages on the home page where it lists how many issues and risks are
assigned to you.

Gary:

Thanks - Although I did not see any error messages on the
pages you mentioned, that indeed appears to have been the
problem. I re-ran pscomplus.exe and made sure the COM+
accounts were as they should be. Then I restarted IIS as
usual. Seems to have fixed the problem.

This somehow must have been changed whe I applied SP1. It
was working before...

Cheers,

Chris
