WYSIWYG

Joe Rogers

On my homepage, http://www.joe-rogers.co.uk the two pictures are somewhat
evenly spaced around my name, however, to get this to look ok, I have a
larger amount of space before the picture on the right, Is this about right?
I thought FP was WYSIWYG

Thoughts anyone?

Get right of the absolute positioning, instead insert a table with 3
columns, place your images in the left and right columns and your text in
the middle column, set table to be 100% width, then under cell properties,
set the left and right cells to be 25% and the middle cell set to 50%.
Select all 3 cells and set alignment to middle and center under cell
properties.

Many thanks, it worked a treat! However, I'm now getting my headline text
slightly cropped at the top of my characters.

Correction:

"Get right" should read "Get rid"

Joe,
You might want to make the title Joe Rogers a little smaller...maybe the giant attack bunny images smaller as well...but I think the problem is the large font of Joe Rogers. I just tried reducing it and it worked fine - no clipped top.

The type sizes are soooo fixed.........is there anywhere that it can be more
flexible with the sizes?

Not that fixed, I knocked Joe Rogers down one size and it worked fine (no clipping)... but you might want to consider making the "Joe Rogers..." title into a .gif, that way you can control it better. Just don't make the width of the .gif too wide or you table won't collapse gracefully.

What programme would you suggest I used to make the .gif? Illustrator or
Photoshop?
OR can I somehow make it in FP? LOL

i have found that WYS is not always quite WYG. i found
that using tables is helpful and a pretty save and easy
way to control positioning of page elements. hope, this
helps, kleo
