X axis does not display correct data point "with formula"

When using data generated from formula in xy scatter, the x axis values do not display as the correct values. The y values are correct, but the program decided to throw in some random values for the x values (1-10).
Graph does plot correct values when inputed directly without being created by a formula: when formulated data values are copied and special pasted with the number values only, without the formula creating that numbers the correct x values are plotted.

If any values in the X range are text, Excel will use X values 1,2,3,... for
the XY (Scatter) chart.

So, maybe some of the results of your formulas are being interpreted as text
instead of numerical values.

For more assistance, please provide more details: Excel version, formulas,
and cell contents to which the formulas refer.
