XL 2003 Trust Access to Visual Basic Project greyed out

I have just upgraded from Office XP to Office 2003. I have some
programs that use Excel and require the Macro security level to be set
to Low and the 'Trust Access to Visual Basic Project' option to be
selected. After installing my security level was set to high. I was
able to reset this back to low but the 'Trust Access to Visual Basic
Project' option is greyed out, and some of my programs don't work
properly. How do I enable this option in Excel 2003?

and i am tring to find out what has been the problem so far that cusin
the problem?

then i cannot call or run any macro from another sub..ever :mad:

I'm having the same problem. Microsoft says that you need to install
2003 with all the options on..you know..do a custom and select "run
everything from my computer" but if you have the problem then just re
installing and selecting these options won't help you. Something in
the registry is written and a re install won't fix it. I need help
badly and there is nothing, nada, zero, zip on the knowledge base
about this except the reinstall thing.

How did you find out what "Microsoft" says? Was this in a new article,
TechNet, or did you make a support call to Microsoft directly.

We are in the same boat and are about to make a support call but don't want
to waste our money if this is what you did.

I clicked on that link and found this message:

NOTE:

if you are using Excel 2003 the box in
macro security options is greyed out.

the registry setting was moved from user to machine
and you can no longer change it from the UI.

Run the program regedit.exe
goto:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Excel\Security
Add or Change a DWORD named AccessVBOM to Value 1
