The most common reason for slow file saves is that your
temp directory is excessively full. Reboot the PC, then
locate your temp directory. Probably C:\Documents and
Settings\{UserName}\Local Settings\Temp but to be on the
safe side, open Windows Explorer and enter %temp% in the
address bar to find it. Then delete all these files.
