.xls savefile size

I have excel 2000 under WIN98. I had a WB with 7 WS. I deleted 6 of the WS
and just have 1 WS with 20 rows with 20 columns. When I saved the new info,
the size stayed the same about 630K. I am sending the info to someone with
only 24.6K dialup and was hoping to shrink the file ( I know I could zip it
but
the person I am sending it to is lucky to open his email).

Is there a way to shrink the saved file? Is there a way to save the WS to a
new
WB?

Thanks....

Where does Excel take on your one worksheet when you hit CRTL + END?

If far below and to right of your 20 row x 20 column range, you can reset that
range.

Go to row 21 and SHIFT + END + Downarrow. Edit>Delete>Entire Rows.

Do the same for columns to the right of column 20.

NOW....Save the file, close and re-open.

Should be much smaller workbook.

Copy and paste the selected data you wish to send to your
friend into a new workbook and save that file for them.
