xlxs docs crashing on resave under 10.6

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Just installed 10.6 today. Now previously created xlsx documents crash when renaming them or saving them to another document. Newly created documents do not seem to have this problem. Word does not appear to have problem either.

Same happens here sometimes. But not only the xlsx files, but the xls ones as well. Also Excel starts since the upgrade quite slow. After a restart of the whole system it works fine again. Do we get now into the Windows problems ?????

Could you please verify your XL had been upgraded to 12.2.1? Also, you repaired file permissions? If the crash persists, could you please send me ([email protected]) a copy of your workbook with private information removed? Thanks!
