XML Converter doesn't work on PPC machine, but does on Intel

I've installed the XML converter on both of my machines, one an iMac G5 PPC, and the other an iMac8,1 Intel processor machine. It works on the Intel, but not on the PPC. The installation appears to have gone correctly on the PPC, but Word simply won't open dot docx files, and behaves as if the converter wasn't installed. Anyone have any ideas?

In order to be able to open the OXML files directly in Office 2004 apps
Office must be updated to at least 11.5.0 - preferably 11.5.1 - so it sounds
like that hasn't been done. PPC doesn't really have anything to do with
it... I run 2004 in Tiger on my G5 & the converters work just fine.

Thank you so much! This was my problem. I had been away for three months, just started up the G5 on my return, and the AutoUpdate, which was set for weekly, hadn't kicked in yet, so I didn't have 11.5 yet. Now I've installed 11.5.1, and the XML converter is working nicely. Lesson learned - set AutoUpdate to DAILY!

Thanks for confirming - AutoUpdate is a good idea, but IMHO Daily is
overkill :) Weekly or even Monthly is quite sufficient.
