Under the data menu there is no option for XML. I just bought this computer
last week and I have some sort of 90 trial period of Microsoft office on
here. I have a school project to do and I need to use the XML function, what
should I do? Is there anything that I can do?

Unless you have Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 or Microsoft
Office Excel 2003, the only XML feature available is saving files in XML
Spreadsheet format.

Kerry,

Find OpenOffice.org, download their suite. their spreadsheet opens excel
files, saves as excel, but also uses xml as defalut save format. Hope this
helps you.
