Hi,

Can I use FrontPage to *visually* design XSL style sheets?
I know xml text editors that can help typing XSL file, but I am looking for
a visual designer.

Any help would be apprecited,
Alan

That's different, though. It's not presentational, it's functional.
Although I suppose that is what the OP was asking about now that you mention
it.

The actual answer is no, you can not use FrontPage to design XSL style
sheets but FrontPage can be used to view and test result by loading the page
for review. The XSL can be manually written in the FrontPage editor but
that's it.

Its is incorrect for Murray to proclaim that "there ain't no visual to XML"
as any well formed XML file can be read by dragging it into the body of IE
or can be loaded by requesting the file using a URL. There is a special
style sheet that formats the XML for "visual" display the only valid
argument being one of aethetics of the hierarchical presentation and any
useability in that context but it is a visual display regardless that many
find complete unto itself.

All that said, there are a number of XML and XSL editors around. There is a
collection of resources at xml.com [1] which is where you can get started
evaluating the many choices.

Maybe I should have said '...no presentation...".

But reading the contents of the file is quite different than presentation.
I can read the contents of any such file by dragging it into Notepad,
too....
