XMLNodes and Table Columns

Does anyone know if a single xmlnode can be assigned to only one column in a multi-column table? When attempting to assign one node to a single column, each cell in the column is automatically assigned a separate xml tag; my goal is to have the column itself wrapped in an xml tag

Nope - you'd have to tag each cell. Columns are non-contiguous ranges.
