Xp and Office?

I have recently added Office 2007 and have XP SP 2, I had Office 2003 before.
I have to say though that 2007 runs like a dog and am considering removing
it. Does anyone have similar experiences? I have a Pentium D with 2.0Gb RAM
and 140Gb and 115 Gb of free hard drive(s).

In your own words, please define "runs like a dog".
Most dogs I've seen running are pretty dog gone fast!

Can see the point, but the fact that am just about to uninstall the suite
should indicate a level of frustration with the inordinate wait for Outlook,
Word, Powerpoint, and Excel to even load up let alone carry out a basic
task...I am a good Home User, rather than technical- but able to recognise a
serious change in performance I think.
