Hi,
I've got an XP Pro workstation using Outlook XP SBE. When the user tries to
receive mail, Outlook will usually hang up - the messages aren't large, the
various attachments in the batch aren't large, and he isn't near his account
limit. Every once in a while, there will be a forwarded message in the
Outbox that wasn't sent or created by the user.
We use McAfee and the dat file is updated at system startup and no viruses
are reported when I run a manual scan. I've also used Ad-Aware and the
online Spy Sweeper and there are no reports of spyware or adware. The first
time I ran Ad-Aware, it did come up with the Alexa registry keys but
subsequent scans by Ad-Aware and Spy Sweeper do not detect it.
I've recreated the account, uninstalled/reinstalled Outlook and nothing
seems to be working. Any ideas on what to do next?
