xp ppt does not animate when viewed in 2000 ppt

is this a usual scenario? When this xp ppt is opened in windows 2000 ppt,
will some of the features not work? Actually, can you view an XP ppt in
Windows 2000 ppt?

You are correct. Features that are new in PowerPoint 2002 do not exist in
PowerPoint 2000, so a presentation created in PowerPoint 2002 may not play
identically in PowerPoint 2000. If your presentation must play in all
versions of PowerPoint, before you begin creating it go to Tools > Options >
Edit and disable the three items at the bottom of the dialog.
