I purchased a dell computer with XP small business then later discovered I
needed XP Pro. I purchased an OEM version of pro because I thought that I
already had paid for the intital price of XP and all I need was an upgrade.
Now it says that "functionality" error and I cann ot figure out how to
register it. I have the code to submit but activation wizard says that this
product is already ativated.

Please help!

Hi Blone,

If you purchased an Office 2003 upgrade edition you can use the Office XP edition as an upgrade qualifier. MS didn't support what
they call 'crossgrade' versions (moving within editions of the same 2002/XP series).

If you purchased an OEM non upgrade edition of MS Office XP Professional and it was still in a sealed package you can try using the
telephone method to activate. OEM editions are licensed to the first PC they're activated on. Retail editions are licensed to the
user of the licensed software.
