This file should be on your Office XP Professional retail CD. If you
haven't set the Explorer view settings to display hidden files and file
extensions, you may not see the file when exploring the CD. You can change
the settings in any Explorer window via Tools|Options|View.

I've had the same problem. I know how to display hidden
file extensions - in fact, I see other *.msi files (such
as CAG.MSI). But I've searched the entire CD and can't
find any file named proret.msi. Any suggestions?

Hi Gian,

What .MSI files are listed on that CD? The ProRet.msi
file is on the Retail Professional CD that would likely the
one used to do the original installation. If your CD is not
the match for the one used on the install you may need to
uninstall/restart/install from the CD that you have.
