XP x64 Edition 'Media Clip' option missing from Insert Object

I am running Windows XP x64 Edition and in PowerPoint 'Media Clip' is not an
option in the insert 'Object ' facility.

I have heard this could be connected with Service Pack 2. How can I repair
this facility? It is more suitable for presenting large Video files than
direct insertion.
