Yahoo e-mail account

Sol

I put in a hotmail account which works good, but the yahoo account does not.
A message pops up telling me that "The set of folders cannot be opened", "the
file... is not an offline folder file".
Does anyone have a similar problem? By the way I am using MS Outlook 2007
Thank you,
Sol

Do you have a paid yahoo account or one that supports pop3? Yahoo doesn't
support HTTP protocol in outlook and pop3 is only available with paid
accounts in the us and a limited number of other countries.

POP3/SMTP access to a U.S., or Canadian Yahoo! account requires a paid
subscription; free accounts don't allow access (though there are some
applications which try to use HTTP for access, and a local HTTP to POP3
proxy; but those are iffy in my experience). And POP3 only accesses the
Inbox, not other folders. Yahoo! has never, and probably never will, offer
IMAP4 access, so, no official Yahoo! support for folder views; even with the
paid accounts.
