Project Server 2003 SP2a & Project 2003 SP2.
We have a project (only 1 that has been reported) that upon the second
time the project manager opens the project in read/write within MSP,
many tasks will display the yellow publish new and changed assignments
icon appears to the left of the task names.
Sequence of events:
(1) PM opens the project in MSP, makes no changes, closes MSP
(2) PM opens the project in MSP and immediately the yellow publish
icons appear
(3) PM publishes the plan, even though no changes have been made and
closed MSP
(4) PM opens the project in MSP, makes no changes, closes MSP
(5) PM opens the project in MSP and immediately the yellow publish
icons appear
I, as Administrator, follows the sequence of events on the PM's
computer and the same happens.
PM follows the sequence of events on another user's computer and the
same happens.
On my computer, I have installed a hotfix that fixed the multiple login
screens to MSP and the problem does not occur on my computer.
Before we push the hotfix to the PM's computer, we are wondering if the
problem is related to something else.
Thanks,
Kathy
