YI561403.CAB not found while installing

J

justin

I reformatted my hard drive and re-installed all drivers.
I am trying to re-install Office XP and I keep getting the
error that my computer cannot find YI561403.CAB. It
prompts me to insert the Office setup CD, which I
obviously already have done. I'm afraid it may prompt me
for more files that I don't have. How can I fix this
problem?

The MS Office 2003 Basic Edition is an OEM package
(i.e. sold with new computers). That cab file should
be available on your Office CD.

"Required file YI561403" message when trying to upgrade MS Office 200
demo software to paid product

I get the same message when I tried to convert my Office 2003 "free
demo provided on a new Sony laptop to a paid product. MICROSOFT TOO
MY MONEY, THEN I CAN'T FINISH THE INSTALLATION SO THEIR PROCESS O
CONVERTING DEMO SOFTWARE DOES NOT WORK. Since I have a laptop withou
any product discs, I have no CD with the missing file YI561403, and M
has not responded in two days to a message I left on their suppor
website for upgrades. Don't EVER do this with microsoft. Now I hav
to spend time to find a way to reverse the charge on my credit car
because not one MS support site has any mention of this "required
file.
