This formulae requires the use of the issue date of a bond.
However, when calculating yield to maturity the issue date is not necessary.
When I use the formulae and use the issue date it does NOT equal what I get when I use a commercial yield to maturity calculator.
Is there any way of using this formulae or another formula in excel without using the issue date.
