Yikes....loss of functional chart "buttons" (linked to pivot tables) when transferred from PC to MAC

Yikes...

We have both PC and MAC machines in the lab....we created some pivot
tables on the PC Excel version (vintage 2002), along with linked charts
featuring oh-so-helpful "buttons" [right on the chart] allowing
immediate 'updating' of the chart to hide or show different variables,
subjects, conditions, etc.

When we transferred the pivot tables and charts to our MAC Excel
program...the "buttons" were not on the chart and no menu for adding
them could be found.

(Vintage of the MAC Excel software is 2004).

Anyone experienced this kind of loss...between PC Excel and MAC Excel
software?

Thanks,

Who put the buttons there? Sounds like they were active-x controls which are
not supported on the Mac. Redo the work book with buttons from the forms
toolbar.
