You can't go to the specified record

Hello,
I have a problem whereby when I try and add a record
to a continuous form I get the message "You can't go to
the specified record". The record will get added but I
can't go to it without shutting down the application and
starting it up again.

Any ideas what this problem is about and How do I resolve
it.
