You have entered an invalid product key

Mario

I am trying to install MS Ofice 2003 in my XP SP2 machine.
When I do, I receive the following message: You have
entered an invalid product key. I have tried several times,
plus I have done research in MS Support site, but I can not
get past this. Prior to installing 2003, I had MS Office 95
running in this system but I removed it before attempting
to install 2003. I have tried to use the command line, per
article 842566, but with no luck. I have also uninstalled
Works 7.0, to see if this owuld make a difference, but no
lusk. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Mario

I seem to recall that Office 2003 Basic is available to OEMs only, so I
am not sure how you were able to purchase a legitimate copy of it unless
you a computer manufacturer like Dell or Gateway.
