zip codes

Does anyone know if there is a function in excel to
convert zip codes to states? For instance, when you just
have 48014, is there are way to have excel determine that
it is in MI? thanks

You have to create a table first or find somebody who already has done it
like the US Postal Service, you can order it on CD I believe..
If you have all zips pertaining to each state you could easily use a lookup
table

Maybe you could link to a site. The US Postal Service

has the ability to give you the answer you are looking for
when you type in the zip code. I have done this on line
before. However, you would have to link to it.
