zip looses leading zero in merge from exel

Glen

I am doing merge in Word2002(SP2) with datasource in
excel.
In excel I have a column with zip codes (cell categiry
special-zip code.
if zip starts with 0, this "0" it is not showing in
merged document.
Example:
7566 in excel shows as 07566 (if cell is cat. zip)
but in word merged doc it is still 7566.
I need to find a way around it please.

Hi Glen,

See the information on my website, in the Mail Merge FAQ.
You want to read up on the formatting issues for Word 2002,
in the Word 2002 section, as well as the general formatting
topics this will link you to.
