Zone Alarm & Outlook 2000 - PLEASE HELP !

P

PlainlyDressed

I just purchased and downloaded the Zone Alarm Security System, but now I
cannot get my email to download to my Outlook program. I keep getting an
error message that says: "Unable to connect to server."

Just to give you a brief run-down..........

My Connection: Cable Modem
My Operating System: Windows 98
Microsoft Office 2000

I've done all the Zone settings on my Zone Alarm program. I've tried
removing the Outlook from my Programs list, as was suggested by someone else.
They suggested that I then try to re-enter my Outlook program and see if I
get an alert from Zone Alarm, where I could "give permission" for access and
click on "remember setting." That didn't work either. I never got the alert
message from Zone about Outlook trying to access the internet.

I don't know WHAT the problem is. If anyone can help, I'd be extremely
grateful.
Thanks so much in advance

Make sure port 110 (POP3) and 25 (SMTP) are enabled for Outlook.

It's quite clear that Outlook is not the problem but ZoneAlarm is. It's best
that you continue with ZoneAlarm support if all looks configured correctly
for Outlook.
