9 Switchboard command buttons

I added a 9th button - changed the handleclick(9) changed label to option9 and optionlabel9 - changed the Const conNumButtons=9
Copied and pasted the button onto the switchboard and saved it.
Now the switchboard does not appear when I go back into the database. What am I missing?

Did you add the info for the 9th button to the Switchboard Item table first?
You can't add it via the Switchboard Manager even if you changed the option
labeling and const. If you do it this way, you generally hose your
switchboard.
