Users cannot create custom borders in Publisher 2000. Admins can. So I
looked after admin created a custom border and the location it created it was
c:\program files\microsoft office\office\pubbrd. The permissions on this
directory do not allow users to write to it. So being the genious that I am
I gave them the write attribute and now no one can create custom boarders
because it says "permissions on the directory have been changed. Try running
setup again." I changed the permissions back but this doesn't fix it. I'm
trying a reinstall of Office disk 2 because that's what I've read on the
boards.
How do I give permissions to users so they can create custom boarders in
Publisher. From what I've been reading this is a problem but there are no
answers. Come on MS help out here. And no the directory is not compressed
