cant setup yahoo with entourage

Hi,

Im trying to set up my dads yahoo email account with entourage but having no luck thus far.

ive made new account and put in the following

Email address: 'dads email'@yahoo.co.uk

ive told entourage it is a POP email

Incoming mail server has been set to various combinations of the below with and without plus and with and without .co.uk instead:

plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com

the above also goes for the SMTP

ive ticked the relevant boxes, put in the relevant ports, followed the instructions to the letter on various Yahoo pages E.G -

Yet everytime it isnt working, Ive never used Entourage and I cant see where im going wrong.

im getting numerous error codes such as 3170 & 23012.

please please can someone point out where im going wrong.

You never say if it's send or receive or both that's the problem.

1. If you can receive but not send then you have a bad SMTP configuration
2. If you can send but not receive you have a bad POP or IMAP configuration

If this doesn't work, go to the home page for Accounts and select one of the
other Yahoo examples.

I would suggest you look at the UK version of the help page instead of the
US version. The differences are small, but they just might be big enough to
make a difference:

Please make sure Entourage X is updated to it's last update. Check the
Microsoft Component Plugin in this location. It should be 10.1.9. Entourage
itself will only show 10.1.6

"/Applications/Microsoft Office X/Office/Microsoft Component Plugin"

The last update for Office X was Microsoft Office v. X for Mac 10.1.9 Update
release date 1/5/2007. Download link:
