I have a backup CD from 6 years ago when I used Macintosh computer and Claris
Works. Now I can Unzip the files but Office 2000 cannot read them.

ClarisWorks is/was the Macintosh (Office) software before AppleWorks. I
presume I need a Convertor but where from?

In Word 2002 or 2003, you might be able to use the "Recover text
from any file" file type in the File|Open dialog box to open a
ClarisWorks .cwk file, but you will only get the text... all of
the formatting will be lost. Earlier versions of Word for
Windows do not have the ability to import native-format .cwk
files. From within ClarisWorks, it is possible to "save as" a
Microsoft Word (.doc) or rich text format (.rtf) file, both of
which Word can open. Or you might consider a third-party
conversion program such as Dataviz Conversions Plus (see
http://www.dataviz.com/products/conversionsplus/index.html ).
