Database rebuild - will not boot - Part 2

I cannot add to the previous discussion.

I disabled the duplicate fonts and turned off a problem font.

I tried to rebuild the database and Entourage X freezes. I force quite and restore the old database and files.

Now it is worse. I cannot "Send and Receive". When I click on a message, the text does not appear in the preview. The text does appear if I double click on it, but I cannot respond to the message.

So at this point, I cannot use Entourage X and the email messages to me are sort of held hostage by the program.

I forgot to add that I also tried a rebuild in the safe boot mode and Entourage X also froze.

One thing I didn't ask: Is Office X perfectly up to date on your Mac??
One of the last updates I remember ofr Office X was 10.1.6:

Thanks for the link. Yes, my current version is up to date. But when I tried to reload Entourage, the new load was out of date. I could not find the download since Microsoft no longer supports Office X.

Microsoft Office v. X for Mac 10.1.9 Update   release date 1/5/2007 (This update includes all of the improvements released in all previous Office v. X updates.)
