Entourage, Mac and the recent Hotmail problems

Tatty

I have had a hotmail account for years, so long that when it was changed so that Entourage users had to upgrade their account to be able to download their mail, I was (quote) 'Grandfathered onto the system'. ie. I wasn't forced to pay for the upgrade as I had had an account for so long.

Now. What with all the outtages over the last couple of days for hotmail, I know have 2 pressing problems.
1. I cannot access hotmail using Safari anymore (my browser of choice)
and more importantly...
2. Whenever I open Entourage now, I get the pinwheel of death immediately and forever, so I'm unable to get to my contacts details or check what it is doing. This also means I cannot change my email to a different provider, because I cannot access Entourage to change things.

HEEEEELP, I'm getting increasingly desperate.

Why not use your ISP?
because I cannot access Entourage to change things.

Hold the shift key down when opening Entourage. This should disable any
schedules trying to fire and if it's a message in your Outbox, Entourage
should open.

What version of Entourage and what OS are you using?
