Error 3253

I keep getting error -3253 ("Connection to the server failed or was
dropped.") when trying to send messages, and everytime the "send and
receive" task is running (every 10 minutes). I still receive my
messages though. I have a POP account.
I have version 11.3.6 of Entourage 2004. My OS is 10.5.1.

Any help would be very appreciated!

Monitor your network traffic. This should give you an idea on what is
failing. See this example of a network report:

Test your network with tcpflow or EavesDrop. See directions here:

EavesDrop is supposedly more user friendly, but I like tcpflow....Let it
capture some stuff then double-click any of the lines of text in the main
window to see more detail.
