Help!!

I am new to the forum and would greatly appreciate any assistance that experienced Outlook users have. I cannot send/receive any emails on Outlook and continue to receive the following error message "(0x80042109) Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) email server." I contacted my service administrator and everything looks fine on there end. Guessing that I might have a corrupt file? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!.

Are you connected to a different network than what your email is set up to
use? For example, you have a Verizon email account but you switched to
Comcast?

Unfortunately no. I am using fusemail through advisorsites. My business partner uses them and does not have any issues.

We are to guess at WHICH version of Outlook that you use? Or WHICH
version of Windows on which it runs?

What did the REST of the error message say? Regarding error or status
messages:

- Do NOT omit the message.
- Do NOT describe the message.
- Do NOT summarize the message.
- Do NOT paraphrase the message.
- Do NOT truncate the message.
- Do show the ENTIRE message (but munge or star out personal info,
like your username in an e-mail address but not the domain).
- Provide sufficient context on when the error occurs or how to
reproduce it.

But did you configure it correctly on YOUR end? If you cannot connect
to the specified SMTP mail host then maybe you did not specify the
correct one. Or you specified the wrong port number (or they changed
the port number from 25 to 587 but didn't yet update their web help
pages or their all reps don't know yet).

You said it was a connection problem. So look at the definition of the
e-mail account that you defined in Outlook to make sure all the mail
hosts are specified by the right name, the right port, SSL is on or off
as they stipulate, and if you enabled the option to authenticate to
their mail server (since you are not using your ISP's mail server that
is on-domain to their network but instead trying to access an off-domain
mail server).

Yes, another forum using a gateway (misconfigured in this case) to
Usenet to provide webnews-for-dummies access to newsgroups or to pretend
they have a larger community. Please ask your forum admin to fix their
gateway to physically wrap the lines when they submit them to an NNTP
server.
