Hperlink virus warning

Processor: Power PC

Does anyone know how to turn off the warning window "Some files can contain viruses or otherwise harmful . . . Would you like to open this file?" that comes up when you try to open a linked program from within a powerpoint presentation?

I fervently hope someone can answer this. I'm infected with the situation too, and it started just this week.
