I have Entourage 2004 and have 2 identities. The problem is that incoming

What do you exactly mean by Identity?
Entourage uses the term to describe actual different databases that can
each host multiple accounts.
I suspect you mean accounts, right??

You didn't mention what type of accounts you have. Is it IMAP?
If you have no Rule, you might still have setup the Mailing List
manager. You might want to check to make sure it's settings are not
corrupted/wrong,

Thanks for your reply Corentin

I am referring to the switch identity function within Entourage, which I
suspect you are correct in that I have two accounts with different email
addresses within the same ISP. My ISP is iprimus and incoming mail is POP
and outgoing mail SMTP.

I believe all emails are getting thru its just that they are all delivered
to the primary/main account holder when I send and receive mail. Thus when
I switch identities to the second account none of the emails for this
account are Œre-delivered¹ as they have already been down loaded to the
primary account. What I would like to do is, to only have the relevant
emails download for the two separate relevant email accounts (identities).
I.e. keep the relevant emails in the separate accounts. Main account is
private, the secondary account is business

Thanks again Laurie T

You can have multiple accounts in one Identity. It is NOT advised to
have each account in it's own Identity.

As Diane mentioned, I would really really not use multiple identities
for something like that.
From your description, it sounds like you are using POP. It would
explain why e-mails are not re-delivered. Once delievered, they are
marked as Not New (or deleted from the server) and not delivered again.

You'd need to setup the account as IMAP (assuming your server supports it).
