Hi Allen,

What version of Word are you using? What patches do you have
installed?

Does the Save As dialog box display? Precisely when does the error
occur? When you click the "Look in" drop down" When you click "My
Documents" in the Places Bar? When you double-click to open the My
Documents folder?

Off-hand without knowing more information if the error occurs when you
click the "Look in" drop down then you may have an invalid FTP site
available. Here is a KB article that contains additional details and
the steps to correct the problem:

Hi Allen,

Do you happen to have a "My Documents" subfolder in My Documents? If
so then this has been known to cause this error. Try renaming the
subfolder and see if that rectifies the error.
