MAPI32.DLL Error

I am using Outlook 2002 SP2. I am getting a frequent error message
stating "The ordinal 36 could not be located in the dynamic link library
MAPI32.DLL" when attempting to setup a new directory service (can't get
past that error). I also got this error when setting up the POP3 server
account but was able to complete that process anyway.

Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue?
