Moving user to Newer Version

I am moving a user from a workstation with OS 9.2 and Office 2001 to a newer
unit with OS 10.3 and Office X.

I realize that there is no Outlook type app for Import/export. So how do
you get the users Inbox and Address book from the old machine to the new??
Can you copy an entire folder from the old machine and do an upgrade??

Dave,

In order for Entourage X to properly import the information directly
from Entourage 2001 you will not only need to transfer the Office 2001
Identities folder to the new computer but you will need to atleast
temporarily install and run Entourage 2001 atleast once.

The Entourage X import feature looks at the Office 2001 settings during
the import. This is the only way you can truly export ALL of the
information.

You may find the following Microsoft KB article handy too:

Was the user using Outlook 2001 on the old machine? If so, you can use the
free PST Import Tool to import information from that machine's PST to
Entourage 2004.

Otherwise, the user should copy his or her "Office 2001 Identities" folder
(located in /Documents/Microsoft User Data/) to the new computer. Then, he
or she can open Entourage 2004, go to File > Import, choose to "Import
information from a program", and go from there.
