office 2007 trial

I downloaded the office 2007 60 day trial on my work laptop and specifically
selected to keep office 2003 as well.
The trial loaded, office 2003 stayed operational as well - but when I tried
to get rid of the trial by removing the programme office 2007 - office 2003
disappears and none of the documents will open.
I don't have the original 2003 disks as this is my work laptop - it came
preloaded - any suggestions? At the moment I'm keeping both but I really
want rid of 2007 trial as I'm leaving my job and have to hand back the laptop
- want to leave it in working order.

Office 2003 could be either OEM or retail. If it's retail or even some
volume license, your IT dept can reinstall it. If it's OEM, it could be on a
hidden partition. It might be easier to own up to the mistake and let the IT
dept take care of it.
