Opening CADs in VISIO for Editing

I have never been able to use the IMPORT CAD function successfully. I have
VISIO 2003 and we have attempted saving the CADS in Autocad in different revs
first with no success. I need to be able to import the CADs for editing.
When attempting to import I get a pop up saying "Cannot Open File May not be
a supported DWG or DXF or may be corrupt. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Visio needs the file saved in the R15 file format or earlier for DWG and
DXF. This corresponds to AutoCAD 2000.

Hi. I had the same issue which drove me nuts. I got onto a company called
www.cadplanners.com.au and I sent them the file which they fixed.

Seems to be fine now.
