I just upgraded to Office 2008 today. I am now getting warnings every time Entourage tries to send/receive (actually x2 for each of my 2 accounts) telling me that Entourage wants to use my confidential information stored in e.g. 'pop.gmail.com' in my keychain. The authenticity of 'Microsoft Entourage' cannot be verified. Do i want to allow access to this item.
I click on Always Allow each time, but the warnings keep coming x4 every 10 minutes!
I know there is an easy solution for this. Can anyone help?
Thanks

I just upgraded to Office 2008 today.

Important to update to 12.0.1 and be sure the Autoupdater is updated as
well. Restart between each install.

Could be corruption in your Keychain.

Run Keychain FirstAid:

Open Keychain Access located in Applications/Utilities, then choose Keychain
Access > Keychain First Aid.
Enter your user name and password.
Select, Verify and click Start.
Any problems found will be displayed.
If there are problems, select Repair and then click Start.

Test to see if the problem is fixed. If not...

1. Go to the system keychain and delete the entry for that account.

2. Go to Entourage, select 'accounts' from the Tools menu, choose the
account that was giving you trouble and click on Edit. Select the 'account
settings' tab.

3. Delete the password from the password box in the POP settings (leaving
the box empty).

4. Close the account window.

5. Re-open the account window and enter your proper password, check the
'save in keychain' check box and close the window again.

The password should now stick.

Diane.
Thanks so much for your prompt response! It seems that exiting Entourage and restarting it solved the problem. I feel like an idiot!
I appreciate your being available!!
